There is a question that I'm curious about. I understand why people go to long pimples or antispin -- they want to play defensive. But why do someone migrate to short pimples on one side or even both? What is the motivation, why do people give up the opportunity to play with lots of spin from both wings?
Hi Ilia,
Short pimples allow you to hit the ball flatter and faster. It can also help attacking players that are having problem in dealing with spin.
The thickness of a table tennis table is the most important aspect of a table to ensure you get a true consistent bounce. Other things to consider are the net, portability, and storage space.
