What do you think, which serve is better: pendulum, pendulum reverse or Tomahawk?

Maybe each serve has only it's advantages and disadvantages?

Which serve do you recommend to master first, as I play only one year, but almost everyday for 2-3 hours (so I'm still new to the game).

By the way, I can serve both serves, but sometimes instead long and fast I get short, or instead short - long.

Can it give to me benefit, if I will master both serves, or maybe it's better to work on one type of serve and don't waste the time?

Hi Mantas,

There are 2 things to consider when deciding which serve is better.  Firstly think about which serve your opponent finds more difficult and secondly which serve you feel comfortable with.  When you do a serve regularly you start to understand the types of returns that you can expect and the spin that will be on the ball from their returns.

You will see that a lot of top players focus heavily on one particular serve that they use.  They will have a lot of variations of that serve, such as variations in the spin, speed and placement.

I would recommend that you focus on one of the serves that you find most comfortable at first.  So which one do you like the best?

You should also practice the other serves a little, as a variation to your main serve.  So perhaps during your service practice time spend 80% on your main serve and 20% on the other serves.

If you haven't already done so, try to get yourself a copy of Serving Secrets Revealed.  It will go through more ideas for your serving.

Keep up the dedicated practice and I am sure your game will keep improving quickly.
