I currently have a Killerspin jet 400, and feel I've out grown it a little. I want to try a custom bat/rubber combination. I have been playing for about a year, but I am quickly improving because I recently found a good coach at a local club. I’d consider myself as an all around sort of player so I guess an all around racket would fit my playing style  If you could offer a few good options or recommendations, that would be great. If you could, also please describe the type of player that uses certain types of bats or rubbers, since I have no knowledge of that. Thanks!!

Hi Cam,

I would go for an Allround speed blade with a rubber like Mark V or Sriver or anything that has good control.  You will still see a big change between this and your current bat.

There are literally hundreds out there.  The one we have is the PingSkills Touch with Mark V that would be suitable.

Would a Timo Boll All+ be a good fit? Thanks!

Yes that sound OK.

What iOS the difference between the Timo Boll all+ and all models. I am torn between the two. Please explain the benefits of one over the other, especially for someone's first custom bat. Thanks.

Hi Cam,

The ALL+ will just be a little faster.  There really is very little difference.  I would go for the All+.  It will give you a little more room to grow your game.
