Serving
Hi PingSkills,
In a video, Jun Mizutani explained how he performs different serves. And at 1:44, there was a serve that made me confused. I'm not sure if it was a reverse pendulum with backspin or not because with the camera position it's really difficult to clearly see his contact. Can you tell me what serve is it and if it is not a reverse pendulum with backspin, can you show me how to do it? Here is the link to the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3AUE9O6U50
Hi Viet,
This is the High Toss backspin serve. It is often referred to as the Ma Lin serve. Take a look at our previous Ask the Coach video response on How to Execute the Ma Lin Serve.
