Strategy
...so I had some spare time during practice, and I keep thinking about what makes a shot a finisher?
I've arrived to the conclusion that these 3 things make a shot powerful:
1. Speed
2. Spin
3. Placement
I think there is more to it than these 3 things. Are there any other factors that makes a shot powerful?
Hi Romeo,
An effective shot will focus on all those 3 areas. However faster or more spin is not necessarily more effective. Variation can be more effective than all out speed and spin.
This match show cases Michael Huang, a two winged looper up against Maggie Meng, a short pimpled penholder who likes to use the reverse penhold backhand with long pimples. In the match you'll get to see how the tactics used by each player shape the match.
