Strokes
Hi alois and jeff,
im trying to mimic Waldners forehand (counter and topspin) and i've more or less got the stroke right for counterhit. i have no problem spinning with the topspin stroke but it is a pain to play fast topspins because of his backswing: im not used to taking so much of backswing and i simply cant understand what he is doing in his backswing this link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsHjvpP_ygs . can u plz "interpret" what he is doing and tell me how i can implement it into my game? usually i loop my arm just behind my back preventing from being seen front on. pls help!!
thanks
Hi Shripathi,
Waldner is a difficult man to copy because of his immense abilities.
His backswing is not too big. He is going down around knee height and just behind himself. You don't need too big a backswing that will only make the stroke a bit more inconsistent.
That is a very young Waldner in the video.
