Alois and Jeff,
Have you tried any of the VR table tennis games and do you think they could be useful for training?
Hi Nigel,
I haven't tried any of them so can't give you an opinion on them.
Has anyone else out there had a try and find them useful or otherwise?
In table tennis, should you focus on spin or speed? Most players train one more than the other… but are they making the right choice? In this episode of the PingSkills Show, we break down the real difference between spin and speed in table tennis—and when each is most effective. You’ll learn:

Eleven VR is highly realistic and full of players - more than 1,000,000 worldwide, including a worldwide (Elo based) ranking system The developers have implemented a great system that effectively negates the unavoidable delays you get from playing people on the other side of the world, as well as a very good simulation of spin/bounce/throw angle for your preferred rubber style. It's a bit tricky to set up at first, and not completely intuitive. The developers are due to release a fully overhauled user interface relatively soon.
Air resistance and table friction seem to be a touch off real world physics. Call it 95% accurate. Again, the next release is overhauling the physics engine to address that.

Nemanja,
Interesting! I shall have to convince a younger relative to buy a VR headset so that I can have a go. I wonder if players make the same mistakes as in real life. Do you think it could be used for training or is it a gimmick?
