Good day sir, I want to be an effective short pips user (backhand), what kind of strokes will I use when the ball is short backspin, long backspin, topspin and side spin? thank you

Hi Joshnathan,

If the ball is short backspin you can push it or flick it.  If it is long backspin you can hit flat through the ball or lift with a bit of topspin.  Against topspin it is best to block or hit flat at them.  This is the advantage of the short pimples.  For sidespin too you can hit through flat and sharply.

Let me know how the short pimples goes.

Tone is in Your Fingers

I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
