hi Alois and Jeff,

I have just bought KILLERSPIN STILO 7 SVR(control: 105 ; spin: 115 ; speed: 120) . So my question is ..........I have tournament on 16th November , 2017, So should I use my new KILLERSPIN racket or my old GKI EURO  HYBRIDZ ( control: 100 ; spin: 100 ; speed: 99) ???

Today morning (6th November , 2017) I got my new and took it to school but unfortunately I was not able to control the racket ...it consists of too much of spin .my smashes , topspins and loops are not working, in the sense ...I meant that they are over reactive Dom my racket . Not able to control it . I can't buy othe racket because I brought it by spending my pocket money.

so what do u suggest .......should I use KILLERSPIN STILO 7 SVR or GKI EURO HYBRIDZ for the state level tournament.

i would Waite for your response as soon as possible please....

Thank You,

Aniketh Danam

Hi Aniketh,

I don't know much about the rackets you have mentioned. If they are similar then you should have enough time to get used to the new bat before the tournament. I certainly wouldn't recommend changing to a completely new setup less that a week before a major tournament.

Have you been using the new bat so far? And how are you finding it?

KILLERSPIN  STILO 7 SVR is good ......am able to generate a lot of spin which is very hard for the opponent to counter it but at times it is hard for me to control the racket if I don't play a rally. GKI euro HYBRIDZ can be controlled very easily but am afraid of rubbers' condition.

Hi Aniketh,

I suggest you take a chance on the GKI euro HYBRIDZ because you're not used to your new Killerspin blade yet. People tend to play differently in tournaments than outside of it and using your new set-up a week or two before a major tournament is not enough time. You will eventually learn how to control the new blade better which will compliment your spin game. I played in a tournament where I used an old blade and my opponent's blade. The tournament rule was, games 1 and 3 you use your opponent's blade and 2 and 3 your own blade. Game 5 you used your blade for 5 points after that, you used your opponent's. I found it difficult to adjust to my own blade which I rarely used let alone using another person's. Had I used my old blade more before that tournament, I would have felt more comfortable and would have done better. If you do use the GKI, take the new one with you as well. If you feel the rubber is too dead for the tournament then switch. Good luck, let us know how you did!

I did good Mike. Thanks for ur suggestion.

the rubbers of GKI was dead so I used KILLERSPIN STILO 7 SVR . I was able to generate a lot of speed and spin and I was able to ruin my opponents *** . I got gold medal and am gonna play for nation level tabletennis and am being sponsored by KILLERSPIN , am literally surprised . But they are again suggesting me to use KILLERSPIN jet 800
