Trouble with Water Based Glueing

Hello Alois,

I recently bought Water Chack glue from Butterfly. I am not too sure on how to glue rubber onto my blade. I had a shot at glueing but I was a bit disappointed on the result. I tried bouncing a ball on top of the rubber (after it was glued) but it hardly bounced. I was wondering if you can give me a few tips on glueing :D

Cheers, Kon

Hi Kon,

With the water based glues you need to let them dry for a long time before you attach them to the blade.  You also only need to use a little glue.  Let the glue dry until it is touch dry before putting it on.

The effect you felt was wet glue under the rubber which means there will be less bounce.
