Hi guys,
I'm having trouble transitioning from forehand to backhand. As in my hand moves around slightly on the paddle as I shift from one to the other. Should there be any movement? What can I do to smooth this transition? Thanks a bunch!
Tim
Hi Tim,
Firstly do lots of switching drills. There are a whole heap of suggestions in the Training Secrets Revealed DVD. There are drills like the Triple Switch or just the basic forehand backhand switch. Firstly, do some set drills where you know where the ball is coming. This will help you to be able to focus on your switching rather than worrying about where the ball is coming.
Sounds like you are changing your grip slightly. Focus on this while you are training. See how still you can keep your grip while switching between forehand and backhand.
