Training

Hi Alois!, it's a long time i haven't asked a question this year! hows everything going in table tennis?

However i have 2 questions.

My first question is:

I have found a way to train myself weekly with the robot and i was also wondeing if i have a pretty good training plan. Heres the way i train:

day 1: Strokes/techniques

day 2: Consistency

day 3: Footwork

day 4: Physical training

day 5: Service

day 6: Receiving

Is it good to keep training like this weekly?

My second question is:

I go to a club to play and practice twice a week on Friday and saturday. I mostly focus on receiving serves when i go there and i also counterhit, topspin and more when i go there. Could this be good enough for training including my practice with the robot? Also the reason why i ask this is because you mentioned that the robot is good but it doesn't give you cues. Do you think its a well balanced training if i practice with the robot and at least going to play twice a week at the club? It's because i can't go there much during the week(Only weekends), and to be honest i have improved a lot lately doing all of this.

Thanks for reading! Pingskills the best!

Hi Pasquale,

It is good to hear from you again.

I think this is a good plan for what you have available.  The proof is that you are improving!

Utilise the club sessions well and play some matches to because this is important.

Keep up the good work.

#9 - Forehand Attacking Technique

In this session we introduce some random drills. A random drill is where you don't always know where the ball is going. Random drills are really important for your development as they are more game like. You need to be able to play your strokes well even when you don't know where the ball is going. We also continue to work on your new serve. This week we introduce a target into your service practice to help you gain even more control on your serve.
