What are the best drills to do or best way to train on my own, or should I buy a ball machine to help.

As far as ball machine, I think they are a reasonable option if you don't have anyone else to hit with but by far the preferred option would be to try to find a club if at all possible so that you can find practice partners or even get a friend involved in the game.
