Hi coaches thx for all answers. I have another if u can: How its with long topspins? I mean a topspins when u r far away from table, and topspins when ur opponent smashing. Cause i saw some players topspin a ball when their opponents smashing. The most of these shots I saw when a smashes wasn´t too strong..Could u answer this? :D

Yes, it is a good shot.  In fact a lob is just a high topspin shot so it can be played from a long way from the table.

:D Hi Alois u doesn´t understand me. I mean this: What can I do when my opponent smashing on my side? First and basic option is lob. But I saw some playres who didn´t make a lob and they topspin a ball. Yeah it was in situation when smash wasn´t too hard. Its a offense shot when you are defending a smashes. Its good option or? Could you answer? Cause I think its a very effective shot :D

Hi Marian,

Sorry I didn't understand.  It is a good shot to play as long as you have the time.  Just think of it as a bigger topspin from further away from the table.  You will need a longer stroke to generate the power to get it back onto the table.
