Topspin the pendulum serve

Hi coach, 

can i topspin the pendulum/reverse pendulum serve?

if can, how?

Hi Brian,

If the serve is long then you can topspin it.  You just need to allow for the sidespin, backspin and topspin on the ball.  You start with your basic topspin that you normally do and then allow for the different spins.

If the serve has sidespin dragging to one side, then angle your bat away from that side.  Similarly if the ball has backspin then angle your bat more up so that you lift the serve over the net or angle it downwards if the serve has topspin to make sure it doesn't go off the end of the table.
