Topspin ball drops to the net when blocking

Strokes

Hello! Recently I've been having trouble blocking my opponent's topspin balls. I usually do a low sidespin/topspin or sidespin/backspin serve to their forehand side then block their topspin return, however whenever I block, the ball just falls to the net and I find this quite unusual. What's the reasoning behind this?

Hi Jack,

Try opening the angle of your racket a little so that you get the ball higher.

The other option is to put a little more topspin on the ball to lift it over the net.
