Topspin into the net

Strokes

When the game gets faster my forehand countertopspin often ends up in the net although I feel that my swing is quite vertical and I´m hitting the ball early enough. Any idea what the mistake might be?

Thanks

Manfred

Hi Manfred,

What rubber are you using?

When the ball hits your racket really fast it will feel like it has more backspin because it doesn't stay in your rubber for very long.  You may need to have an even more vertical stroke if your rubber is OK.
