Too much sponge on rubber increases stability

Hi coach! My GKI raquet has almost one finger thickness...Does that increase stability and speed of the ball..And also the spin of the ball.Thank you.

Hi Shrihari,

The more sponge the more speed and spin you will get.  So that will mean less stability or control.
