Third ball after I serve a backspin

Strokes

When I serve a backspin ball, is it true that when the ball is pushed back it reverses its spin?  This seems to allow me to attack returning a long ball down close to the top of the net.  Please give some insight.   Your videos are absolutely great. Thank you.

Hi Santiago,

If your opponent is using Long Pimples it will reverse the spin.  If they are using inverted rubber the ball will come back to you with backspin and you will need to lift it to get it over the net.  Use the stroke that we show you in the lesson on Forehand Topspin Off Backspin.

Thanks for your praise of the videos.  Always good to know we can help.
