Hi Alois,

I have a grand prix tournament coming up this sunday and know of a few players who play with pimples.

Pimples are my worst nightmare and i don't know if it's in my head or i just don't understand them properly

How do i combat playing against pimples?.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks

Kieran

Hi Kieran,

We do have a Premium lesson on how to play against long pimples.

some basic things though are to understand that the pimples will reverse the spin on the ball.  if you hit with topspin to the pimple the ball will come back with backspin.

Do you have that understanding of the rubber?  If so then it is a matter is trying to play against it more often.  Take your time and try to have a positive attitude of playing against it.  This will definitely help.
