Hi Alois

the technique is not important!!!!this week i met a player that has a horrible footwork, hasn't secuence in the forehand, has a horrible service, hasn't backhand, BUT he wins...then my question is, what is important in table tennis??because i have an incredible technique (according to my coach) but i don't win like this person.

HI Cristh,

Technique is important.  With poor technique there is a limit to the level you can achieve.

Keep working on your game and gain more and more experiences.

The amount of time you train is a big factor.

Having the correct technique allows you to progress to your potential. Players with incorrect technique may be able to beat other players, but perhaps they could have been even better if their technique was better.

If you're not convinced try hitting a few balls yourself with really bad technique and see what happens :)
