How should I tackle if the opponent puts the ball onto my deeper side of the table, almost at the end of the table and particularly when I am closer to the table?

Hi Prashanth,

If your opponent is serving or hitting deep to you often then just take half a step back away from the table.  This will give you a little more time and also put you in a better position to return this ball.

If you are close to the table and they serve long, use a more vertical short stroke to lift the ball over the net.
