Off a serve, if the ball is very low, can you flick it?  Or should i just try to brush the ball up?

Thanks

Hi Sam,

Yes off a short serve you can flick the ball.  It is easier to flick a side or topspin serve. The backspin serves are a little more difficult.  The lower the serve the more difficult as well.  The flick can be faster if the ball is higher, or if the ball is really low and with backspin you willl need to brush it a little but you can still flick it.

Watch the Lesson on the Flick.  It will give you an idea of what you can do and the stroke involved.
