Hello,

I use a Stiga Magic Trainer, and the rubber is quite dead, the balls just rolls off it,but whenever i use a new racket, they're all too hard for me and the ball just flies off the table,so what can i do to fix this ?

I have seen a Stiga Power 5 in my club, and i was wondering if i should purchase that, and get used to using powerful bats for later on ?

PS. i just started playing,6 months now.

Thank you,

Moataz

Hi Moataz,

I don't know these bats sepcifically but it is important not to use anything too fast. However if you feel that your bat rubber is quite dead then you should try to upgrade.

The bats that we would recommend are the PingSkills Rook Table Tennis Bat.  This has a good quality rubber and will enable you to develop your game.

Choosing a Table Tennis Bat

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.

Thank you Alios for your feedback,i found a " STIGA STEROPE (5-star)" in my local table tennis shop,it's quite fast but it's quite impressive, should i buy that and try it out or just buy a 2 star or 3 star and after some time upgrade to the 5 star ?

Thank you so much, awaiting your reply

Hi Moataz,

That looks like a reasonable bat.  I wouldn't go for anything less than that.  You end up just buying a better bat in a few months as you improve your strokes.

The bat that we would recommend is the PingSkills Rook Table Tennis Bat.  This is an equivalent blade with a little better rubber.
