Hi,
Should the speed, spin, control rating of TT rubber match with that of the Blade. I have this question because I have a pair of Mark V which is balanced across speed, spin and control and I have a old Joola carbon blade which has a Extreme high speed rating and low-medium control rating. Does it mean that if I use Mark V with this blade then it will almost nullify the control characteristics of the rubber?
Hi Pushkar,
It is not necessary t match the speed of the blade with the rubber. Many players use a faster rubber with a slower blade. Not many of the tp players will do the opposite though.
The most important thing though is find something that feels comfortable for you and then stick with it and train hard.
Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
