Hello Sir,

This is Mudit Sahai from INDIA.

I have been playing Table Tennis from last 2 years and have been using STAG POWER DRIVE PLUS which is a good customised BAT promising speed, spin of 85 and control 90.

I had been thinking of changing the backhand rubber with MARK V rubber but after watching the video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ts15JPS1K-w) i got a doubt on it that shall i replace the rubber on my same blade(wood)or should i get a completely new blade and rubber.

Hi Mudit,

I think putting Mark V on a pre made bat is OK in a lot of cases.  I don’t know the quality of the blade you have now.

I have seen the PingSkills Rook with better rubber on it and it works really well.  I would say, give it a try with the Stag bat as it seems to be at the higher end of their pre made bat range.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

But be careful while removing an old rubber from a pre-made bat. When I tried to do that with my old Atemi bat it turned to be impossible without damaging it, the glue was so sticky.
