Can we apply PU coating on the table to make it glossy and protect from moisture?  Will it affect the bounce ?

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

Polyurethane  (Clear) coat applied to wooden flooring, furniture to make them glossy and protect the paint /wood from moisture etc.

I would'nt go for a glossy table surface, because of all the reflections on it, I can imagine it distracts a player. But that's just my thought about it.

Yes a Polyunrethane will probably be too hard as well and not grip the ball with spin.
