Table Leveling

Equipment

I have a table that has two separate halves.  Ideally, the table is perfectly level and the two halves match up at the center.  This doesn't happen.  What I do now is level each half using the leveling feet but then they don't match up exactly in the middle.  I know that some people use the net clamps to pull the center halves together, but I don't like to stress the table like that.  In addition, this will also unlevels the table.  So, I level each half using the feet and then shim under the wheels a little to get the center to match before I put on the net clamps.  I know that this knocks them slightly out of level but I don't have a good solution.  What is the best approach for this?  Also, is there a specification that is used for leveling a table for professional events?

Hi Rick,

Often they use a Spirit Level to check if the tables are level.  They also use a tape measure to make sure the height is correct.

Sometimes it is the table, sometimes it is the flooring.

Choosing a Table Tennis Bat

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
