Are table tennis tables as varied as tennis courts?  is there a certain type of material that makes the ball bounce slower like a clay court, or faster and lower like a grass court?

Hi,

Table Tennis table are quite uniform.  There are small speed differences but not anything like the differences between Tennis courts.  The ball moves too fast in Table Tennis to have to cope with that much difference.

Just use a damp cloth or if you want you can put a very weak detergent solution with the water to remove any oils.
