Switching rubber from forehand to backhand when smashing

Hello. I see that many professional players switch their rubber from forehand to backhand when they start to smash. Why? And should we do this?

Hi Jeypi,

They may have a harder rubber on their backhand that they feel is easier to smash with that is why they change.

For most of us this won't make a difference.
