Strokes
Hi Alois and Jeff,
I have been a penhold player for 30 years now. However, lately I have been experiencing some pain in my hand. The doctor is saying that I have tendonitis. I would like to switch from penhold to shakehand.
I know that I would need to change blades. However, I don't want to invest in custom blade if I want to learn the proper movements and techniques for shakehand.
What would your recommendation be for the shakehand racket?
Would a preassembled racket such as the Butterfly 401 shakehand racket good for me to start over?
Thanks and regards,
Nick
PS. Your Forehand flick tip for pips-out rubber worked for me like a charm. I was be able to win quite a few points off the short backspin serves. Unfortunately, that hand movement causes pain on my hand.
Hi Nick,
Yes, something basic would be good just to get the feel for it.
Hope this helps with your pain as well.
