Stopping the smash

Dear Coach,

Me and my friend have played multiple matches and I have been usuing your strategys to win most. The one problem I seem to be having is thats he has a smash? that knicks the net every time and I cant seem to deflect it do you have any advice? is there a specific video I need to watch to learn the right block move?

p.s Im not hitting the ball high at all. He seems to be usuing the flick technique

Hi Ryne,

Glad that you are improving.

For this situation you could try working on putting a little more backspin on the ball which will make it just a little more difficult for him to smash the ball.

Dear coach,you know when my friend and I were playing table tennis.He smashed me that the is net in and then edge in.Can u tell me how to block the smash??

That is usually too good. Just watch the ball and try your best if hat happens.
