hi, my name is Sachin and I am having a tough time beating my friend with his backspin. He tends to use a chop and whenever I push it back he  turns into a Attack monster and Smashes the ball. Most of the time I can generally beat him, but I need some advice on how to counter his back spin

p.s great  lessons, learning alot

Hi Sachin,

If he plays the ball long first then you should try to make a topspin stroke.  Use the Forehand Loop Off Backspin.  This will make it more difficult for him to turn into an "Attack monster".

The other thing to consider is trying to serve the ball shorter so that he can't attack first.

Thanks for your kind words.  I am glad that we can help.

Try out these two suggestions and see how it works.
