I am a beginner so please forgive me if you have answered this before but what is the difference between a 1 and a 3 star ball? And also are Butterfly and Stiga good brands for balls as they are the most readily available in my area. Thanks.

Hi Chris,

Glad to have your question.  The Star rating on a bll is the quality of the ball.  3 Star ratings mean it should be a good quality competition level ball.  The 1 Star rating means it is a lower quality ball that should be OK for training.

These ratings can not always be trusted, however withthe better known brands like Stiga and Butterfly they are quite reliable.  I wouldn't trust the Star rating on the ball all the time though.
