Hello Pingskills

I am going to buy a new forehand rubber soon, and I can't decide whether I should get the 2.0 mm or the 2.2 mm. What are the advantages and disadvantages of getting a thicker sponge?

Thank you for your help.

Hi Nishant,

The thicker rubber will give you more speed and more spin.  If that is what you are looking for then go for the 2.2mm.  You will still get a good amount with the 2mm as well.

i consider the thicker sponge better as it gives more spin, and all i think about is spin which is partially wrong, you should think about other things like responses, footwork, technique, if u want more spin, go for a thick rubber... If want a fast rubber go for a thick and soft rubber :)

GOODLUCK!
