Spinny Serve

Serving

Hi Alois,

I have a lot of concern when i'm doing my serve. Is it right that we must move our wrist faster to generate more spin on the serve ?

If not, how can i make my server spinnier ? I felt like i'm just using a flat contact to my serve even though i'm doing a brushing contact to the ball.

Thanks

Hi Ernest,

It is a good idea to video your serve and watch it back to see what you are actually doing.  Often you might feel like you are maintaining the angle of your racket on contact but in fact you are flattening out the contact.  It is a natural reaction to become safer about making contact.

Start by doing the serving on the floor to get the feel of the contact.
