Can you suggest some Drills that I can do to get my footwork going?
Should I sprint, jump rope, Or some thing like that.
I am stiff, as if the there is a magnet under my foot.

Thanks mate

Hi Pranav,

Skipping is good for improving spring.  Also you can practice shuffling sideways in short sharp drills.  Sprinting is not specific enough for table tennis.  We need more fast sideways movement to improve speed.

Any suggestions about how to receive a serve or return serve, most of the time begining players have problems in returning serves. I know everyone serves different, but there should be some common principles to return the serve.

We will be making a video on this topic in 2009. The basic idea is to use your bat as a rudder. if the ball wants to go left, steer it right and vice versa. This will be much easier to show in a video rather than trying to explain it.
