hi coach ,

i played against my opponent during my competition and he smashed the small by bringing his bat around his knee level . i wondered how he could manage to smash the ball without letting it go off the table. during your lesson forehand topspin, jeff brings his bat to his waist level and plays the stroke but my opponent brings the bat around his knee level to play topsin which is quite risky and i was actually impressed by his topspin and i could not counter it at all ... my question to you guys is whether his technique is wrong or it helps him to add more speed because i want learn the kind of topspin and smash he plays...??

thank you ..

Hi Aman,

You can use this exaggerated stroke if you have a lot of time.  If you don't have much time use your waist and twist to generate the power.

The topspin is the thing that will stop the ball from going off the table.  You need to make sure you are generating as much topspin as possible to really hit the ball fast.

In our Premium lessons we have a lesson on generating more speed.
