Smash from a lot of distance from table

Strokes

Today I saw a player in my club, who could hit smash, both in forehand and backhand, quite a lot distance from the table. The most incredible thing is, he could hit them from below the table or just around the board surface level. The only things that kept him holding from winning were his accuracy and less spin generation. can you illustrate the procedure for these kind of shots?

Hi Debayan,

These are topspin strokes.  The topspin allows you to hit the ball hard and still land it on the table, even from a lower level.

Take a look at our tutorial on Topspin to Topspin to start with.
