Hi, coach!

About 5 years ago, among topspin types, I could do only slow high spinny topspin. I was using Primorac off- and tenergy 05fx rubbers. With this stroke I was winning weaker players and defenders with long pimples. I loved to destroy long pimplers with continuous slow high spinny topspins. But when I started to play vs better players and strong attackers, this stoke didn't work. Since then I gave up slow high spinny topspins. I tried to do fast low topspins. But now I can't do such slow high spinny topspins. I thought it was because now I am playing with off+ blade. Recently I tried allround and off- blades, with them I still couldn't do it. But they were not primorac and tenergy. Is it possible that I forgot technique of slow high spinny topspins? Or was that depend on tenergy rubber? I need this stroke because it is very safe and effective stroke vs defenders (pimples). I can loop backspins, but I can't do it continuously in a row, that's why recently I lost to a pimple user in the semifinal of a tournament. I suspect it depends on tenergy. Furthermore, last year in a weekly mini tournament I was usually in 5-6th place among 10-12 people. But once when I played with friends racket with tenergy rubbers, I beat all and took 1st place.

What will you say about my thoughts?

Hi Ardak,

I think Tenergy is the best rubber around.

However, you can still play effective slow spinny topspins with other rubbers.  If this is an important part of your game and you want to feel more comfortable then I would suggest going to Tenergy.

Thank you, coach!

Maybe it is difficult to do spinny high topspins with hard rubbers? Because I tried that stroke with allround blade & hard rubbers.

Yes, I am thinking to change to tenergy. Since it is expensive, I was trying cheaper alternatives. Can I ask, from where  I can order cheap tenergy?

I usually order  TT equipments from tabletennis11, here the shipment is free and best prices, but there is no tenergy :(

In all other stores the shipment is veeeery expensive or they don't deliver to Kazakhstan.

Thank you coach. I didn't need slow spinny high topspins until I got too many opponents with pimples. Last 2 years I live in a new for me city. Here in mini tournaments there are too many people with pimples, and I hate playing vs pimples :)))

I like slow high topspins because it usually  won't go off the table,  it can be performed very close to the table, and there are huge amount of spin.
