Slamming or Smashing

when i slam i lean forward and that gives a nice slam,when i lean back i miss the table how can i stop this please help me Thank u

Hi Kallem,

The key to smashing or slamming is to move your feet into position before you start your stroke. Move back a little while the ball is in the air to allow yourself o move forward into the stroke.  Often players stop when they see the ball in the air and focus totally on smashing the ball as hard as they can.  This means they are not in a good position to smash the ball.  

This will stop the problem of leaning backwards.
