Hi,

I play at school and some of my friends get loads of sidespin on their serves, I would like to know how to get sidespin on my serves, especially after the first bounce. Thanks :D

Hi Jay,

To generate sidespin brush the side of the ball.  The important thing to do this is to have the right racket angle.  If you have your bat angled you will be able to brush the side of the ball.

The ball has sidespin but it may not start turning until the second bounce because it has more forward momentum.  Once the ball loses its forward momentum it will start to turn.
