Hi Justin,

There are some basics.  You need to hit the ball on the side of the ball if you are looking at it from above. The contact needs to be a brushing action.

Try just getting some spin first by seeing if you can make the ball come back to you when you hit it on the floor.  Once you can do this you will have the idea of how to generate spin.  Then you can move onto the table and see if you can make the ball spin.  It is easier to start away from teh table because you can hit more freely without the worry of making sure it goes on the table. For sidespin, try to make the ball curve in the air and on the floor.  The again move onto the table and try there.

Our new DVD Serving Secrets Revealed covers all this and a lot more. The DVD runs for approximately 50 minutes and cover everything from how to start to spin the abll to some advanced serving techniques.  You cna get this for just $29.95 from our Online store.  Do yourself a favour and purchase it.  It will help you I am sure.
