Equipment
Hello again pingskills, I was just wondering if a change of rubber is necessary for the new plastic balls as I haven't played with them yet, I have seen many stores selling rubbers that sell plastic ball ready rubbers and some that aren't plastic ready. The plastic ready rubbers have something called dynamic friction technology which is said to counter the slipperiness and contact of the new balls, what are your views on this and is it a good idea to switch from the regular older rubbers such as tenergy?
Thanks.
Matt.
Hi Matt,
Don’t worry about changing your rubber. This is obviously good marketing by the manufacturers. I think they have enough options out there already but now they are adding more.
There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
