Short Pimples: yay or nay

Hi guys, it's been a long time since I asked you two a question, anyway first I wanna say congrats for keeping this page going on strong and solid :) and second I wanna ask... are short pimples a good choice? I was planning on moving from normal rubber to short pimples :) any insights about them?

Hi Samuel,

They suit players that play close to the table and like fast flat rallies.

If this is you then it may be a good choice.

Of course there is not one type of rubber which is the right choice for everyone.  Horses for courses as they say.  If you are thinking of trying SP or any other type of rubber, one thing you might do is to watch good players who use that rubber and see if you like their style and want to emulate them.  For example, for SP, you could watch some He Zhi Wen videos or Australia's Miao Miao.
