What are the disadvantage of using a short pimple racket?

Hi,

The short pimples doesn't give you the ability to generate as much spin on the ball.

I played against a traditional penholder who was using short pimples. When he serves,it generated a bit more spin then I expected...

This does happen if you are expecting no spin. Remember the short pimples can generate spin, just not as much as inverted rubber.
