I wanted to know that in shakehand grip what is the role of thumb and should I be grip the racquet thight or loose.
And where should I place my thumb when doing shake hand grip on the knotch or on the grip.

Keep your grip loose. It will allow you to use your wrist and whole arm when you are playing.
The thumb can be on the notch at the top of the handle. It is used to steady the bat
