What paddle does coach Alois use?

I have seen on videos that when he serves (pendulum serve) the ball will curve so much. Also, on his short service  (pendulum serve), the ball would bounce about three times at the receivers side.

I have been trying so hard to do the pendulum serve side spin but I could only make the ball curve just a little bit. And when I do the short serve, I could just make the ball bounce only twice on the receivers side.

Hi Peter,

I use the PingSkills Touch blade with Vega Pro maximum on both sides.

The equipment only plays a small part in the ability to make the ball curve and stay short.  You will find that experienced players will be bale to do this with a whole range of equipment.

The more important factor is the contact of the bat on the ball.  As we always stress it is a matter of getting a good brushing action on the ball and then getting that action as fast as possible.  This will only come with loads of training.

Variation of Spin

Varying the spin on your serve makes it harder to return. You can vary the type of spin but possibly even more effective is varying the amount of spin.
