Serving

Hello,

Every time I try to surprise my opponent with a fast and long serve in competition, it usually goes slower than I need it to go. Even though when I practice serving ,it usually has good speed and good spin. Why is this happening?

Hi Kevin,

This can be due to the tension of competition.  when you are tight, your muscles don't work correctly so it will lead to the ball travelling slower.  Try relaxing before you do the serve and see if it goes faster.
