Serving
hi alois and jeff,
i can manage to put a fairly good amount of spin (side top and side back and pure side) in my pendulum services but i find i can only serve them short or wide without much speed. can u please give me some advice on serving faster?
thank you
Hi Sripathi,
Try hitting the ball into the table closer to you on your side. Then start to hit the ball faster into that spot. You also need to focus on getting the ball lower over the net to get the serve faster. You can set up a string over the net like in our lesson on Keeping The Ball Low. So lower and hitting the ball faster and closer to you on your side of the table will help.

- Varying Your Serve Position: The benefits of serving from different positions and how it can confuse and unbalance your opponent.
- The Crossover Point: How to target the elusive crossover point (the transition between forehand and backhand) to force errors or weak returns.
